ProServe II

e-mail... e-mail... e-mail...
   I'm very pleased to announce that the long awaited e-mail feature has been completed and is now available for download in both the US and UK versions. As always it's FREE to current users in good account standing. However;  if you require assistants installing or trouble shooting this new feature; be prepared to pay a Monthly Support Fee.
 
e-mail Features

You will be able to send e-mail directly from within ProServe II to your e-mail clients outbox folder.

  • Setup e-mail addresses for Billing accounts and Service To accounts.
  • Send General e-mail from CFM screen or Service To Detail screen.
  • Send AR-History from CFM screen.
  • Send Invoice from CFM screen.
  • Send Invoice when printing Invoices.
  • Send Quotes when printing Quotes.
  • Send Aging from CFM screen. (Statement)
  • Send Payment records from CFM screen.
  • Send Statement from CFM screen.
  • Send Statements when mass printing statements.
  • Send Reminder Notice when printing Work Orders.
  • Send Reminder Notice when printing Reminder Notice (mass mailing)
  • Send Mass Mailing, filtered with Class, Route, Service Code, Batch etc...
  • Setup Default options for each e-mail type.
  • Default options include: Subject, Body, Signature, Comments, Text or HTML, Open e-mail Window or not, Open Attachment Preview or not and much more.
Compatibility
  • Installed local e-mail Client Application such as Outlook or Outlook Express.
  • This feature is not compatible with web based e-mail such as yahoo or hotmail.
  • I'm not sure about AOL.
  • Outlook Express or Vista Windows Mail will work with limited features.
  • Outlook 2000 or better is recommended for full extended features.
  • The new EasyMenu v3.01 version must be installed.
New EasyMenu v3.01..
   Most of you are running EasyMenu v3.00, this is the 1st program that you startup to then run ProServe. In most cases you will have to un-install this version and re-install the newer version v3.01 in order to use the new e-mail feature. I have setup a webpage with detailed instructions on how to easily upgrade to EasyMenu v3.01. But before you upgrade to EasyMenu v3.01, make sure you 1st upgrade ProServe to v2.01e.
 
Upgrade Guide...
  1. From within ProServe II, select Help/Product Version and record what version you're running.
  2. Then select Help/How To Update... record your Login and Password.
  3. Access the ProServe II Support page at http://www.proserve2.com/support
  4. Select How To Install Guide if needed and download and install updates.
  5. After updating to the latest version v2.01e...
  6. Upgrade to EasyMenu v3.01... Click link below to do that...

Newsletter Registration...
Sorry, but I have made another change to the newsletter system. The Newsletter Registration is no longer handled through the online mailing list system. I have decided to maintain my customers e-mail addresses from within my desktop application system. Which happens to be ProServe II. Now that you and I can e-mail directly from ProServe II, I will use it for this Editorial Newsletter. So by default your account is setup for this mailing list. Use link below to let us know if you wish to be removed or change your e-mail address.
